231: (OL18 HBG) Wright New Routemaster H47/27D
New Routemaster was built to meet the specific requirements of
Transport for London and its 3 door layout made it unsuitable for use
outside the capital. Suppose an attempt had been made to widen its
appeal by removing the rear door and staircase. What would the result
have been like? Padbus set about finding out and here is the answer: a
neat two door bus with 12 more seats than the London version. Padbus
set it to work on Park & Ride service 11 allowing Scania Omnidekka
616 to be rebranded and moved to Park & Ride serice 30.
Modified Corgi Best of British diecast.
